Dear Julie, August 13th, 2007
Buddy is almost potty trained and has been for about 2 weeks. But, he slips (or we don't catch his
signal) for a few days and then he's good again. We've been trying to have at least one of us home
almost all of the time so that we can keep up the routine. He's also back on the food you recommended
"Canidae"' and Lady likes it too. We may try to switch her over too. She's never liked any brand of dry
dog food before this and I think it's better for their teeth.
Buddy is a sweetie! Don't remember what we did with ourselves before he came along. Lady is even
getting a little more active now that he's bigger and they can play together. They're each jealous of the
other, both for attention, food and toys. So far the only real struggle has been with their food so we
separate them when we feed them. Lady lets Buddy have his way all the time and we're starting to feel
guilty about it. We're hopeful that will balance out when he gets a little bigger too!
We saw that all your puppies were gone and were glad we got Buddy in time.
Take care!
Stephanie

Julie, Matthew & Mitchell,
I just want to thank you for our beautiful baby girl. She is now 5 months old and is doing great in potty
training and her temperament is excellent. She is such a lover ! I know I have said this before but I am
so glad that I found your website. You are a wonderful and caring breeder. Sophie is our 5th cocker in
my years of marriage. You are the only breeder that cares to stay in contact with the people who have
bought one of your babies. We were so impressed that you came to Indiana to meet us. Its not just a
dollar to you , it’s the love that you have for your babies… You care and that is so special and means
so much to my husband and I. Your website the ISLAND its awesome! I have meet so many nice and
wonderful people who have received babies from you recently or the past. I have had so much fun with
pictures and especially the summer swap for our babies. I have also learned from the Island too, you
can help others out that are having problems. Its just great.
I could go on and on, but the most is important thing is THANK YOU for our baby Sophie, and for being
the most wonderful caring cocker spaniel breeder and friend. In my book you and your boys are the
best!
Your friend always,
Steve, Kathie

Hi Julie, August 24th, 2007
I just wanted to take a couple of minutes and thank you for our youngest baby. Mack is a wonderful boy
that brings a smile to our faces. He has a great temperament and has fit in very well with our three
other cockers. He is very playful and loving and always making us laugh at his puppy antics. He is one
smart little guy and a very quick learner. We couldn't imagine life without him now. He is such a joy! I
appreciate having a breeder that is as conscientious and knowledgeable as you are Julie. Thank you
for trusting us to adopt one of your boys! If we ever get another cocker it will come from you!
Sincerely,
Betty

Hi. We wanted to check in and let you know how great Macy is doing! She is eating well and playing a ton.
She is even doing pretty well with the potty training and sleeping at night. We all love her! Thank you.

Pearl has been renamed to Samatha Sue (Sammy). She is a pure delight. After my last cocker, it is wonderful
having such a healthy dog. She has Van and I wrapped around her little paw. My grandkids love her too. When
we talk on the phone the first thing they ask, is what is Sammy doing. Sammy loves to play and rough-house
with my husband and snuggle in my lap. We take her whenever we travel or leave her with my friend Wendy.
Wendy has been grooming her and does a great job. She says Sammy is a snap to groom. She should be
because she gets combed ever morning during laptime. I'll have to take a pic of Sammy with her latest hairdo.
Looks like such a pretty girl. We are still feeding her the same food. They sell it locally.

You are right, Alex is beautiful. You did a great job breeding his parents. He is a great pet, full of energy and
love.
My dad was here from Arizona in late August and completely fell in love with Alex (even though he has a dog of
his own). He kept telling me that he would take Alex home with him and we could come to visit him. He still asks
me how his dog is every time I talk to him. He and Alex played ball endlessly during his three week stay with us.
Thanks for helping me with the web site.
Gayle.

Dear Julie and Family,
It is hard to believe that Abby had been part of our live for almost a year now. We had a little birthday party
when she turned 1! We take her with us on trips, she is great in the car (your cross country trip helped with
that. She loves people and other dogs, and is so smart! Everywhere we take her people stop and comment
on her cuteness, so often people say she should be a show dog. We don't really get that and have no
interest. Abby is great with little Sydney and they really love each other. I didn't think Sid could ever love
another dog as much as Carley, but Abby has definitely stolen his heart. He is so grateful for that little
doggie! Thank you for little Abby!

Hi Julie! June 9th, 2008
It's been a little over a year since we brought Baxter (formerly Topaz) home and he's absolutely our pride
and joy! He's grown to be about 20-21 lbs as expected and he has the best temperament...incredibly
friendly, loving, playful and curious about everything. His favorite toy is any tennis ball he can find and his
best friends are two 100+ lb. Labrador Retrievers next door. He plays with them so much I think he thinks
he's a 100 lb dog in a 20 lb dog's body! He's good with other dogs, loves children and even does well with
our cats, although he gets a little jealous when they try to take his place on my lap!
He continues to do well on the Canidae; we decided to keep him on it and liked the quality so much that we
even started the cats on Felidae. We have to order it on line but it's well worth it. Potty training took some
time (I think that's more my fault than anything because he's my first dog and I don't have any potty training
experience) but everything is fine now. We haven't had any luck finding a good, steady groomer here in our
tiny town so I've recently taken to giving him home haircuts. Poor little guy...they haven't been very good
haircuts (Scott begs me to find ANY groomer to do it) but they're getting better and I have fun with it. Baxter
isn't a huge fan of the clippers (or baths, for that matter) but he tolerates them well enough.
Thank you for all of the help and support you've given us from the start! We're actually considering getting
him a little brother so we may be in touch with you soon to get another puppy!

Dear Julie,
We want to thank you for giving us the sweetest puppy in the world! People come up to us all the time
and tell us how well behaved and calm he is for a puppy. Since this was our first dog we had no idea on
what to expected and he has surpassed any expectations we could have had and more! Charlie has
seemed like a trained dog since day one. He knows that potty means to go to the back door and we had
him trained in one area of the yard within a week. He is such a lover and a playful companion all at the
same time. All of his wonderful qualities are because of you, Julie. I am constantly bragging about my
breeder. I tell everyone how much time you put into training the puppies daily for routines they will have to
endure throughout their lives. My neighbors are marveled at how easy he is to groom, bath, walk, etc.
They have all asked for your information so that they have it when they are ready to get a cocker baby of
their own. I have had many women stop me on the street and proposition me to buy Charlie. I looked at
them like they were crazy! But I understand because as well as being well behaved, he is GORGEOUS!
Everyone says how they have never seen a chocolate cocker before. I hope you keep breeding cockers for
a long time to come because I will definitely be calling you for another one. Charlie is an angel and we are
so in love. Thank you so much for everything you have done for us and Charlie. We could not have asked
for a more dedicated person to care for our baby and his mother. Best wishes to you and your family.
Love,
Leslie, Brian and Charlie
